Description - Description: With the growing interest in offshore wind energy around Ireland, there is an increasing demand for a more detailed understanding of the rock types that are exposed on and underly the Irish seabed. In 2016, Geological Survey Ireland (GSI ) contributed a coarse offshore bedrock map to EMODnet Geology*, providing a valuable baseline for geological assessments – this was based on available data and studies at the time.
