Description - Description: Each year, more than 2,000 students from public and private primary schools in Haute-Savoie (cycle III: CE2 to CM2) participate in the Rando Glières event. Dedicated to the memory of the resistance fighters, this event is organized by t he Departmental Council of Haute-Savoie on the Plateau des Glières, a national center of the Resistance. Usually, 20 classes are welcomed each day (around 500 children) for 4 days. On the program: hikes on the trails once used by the resistance fighters and activities to discover nature, the mountain pastures, the landscape, hiking and history, and finally a gathering around the National Monument to the Resistance.
