Description - Description: Westtoer APB has an existing methodology for mapping recreational bicycle traffic on the entire bicycle junction network in West Flanders. This methodology combines data from 17 permanent counting points with network data, results from r ecreational surveys and a large -scale temporary telcampagne carried out in 2016 on 1280 network segments. Based on this data, a estimation model was developed that calculates the recreational bicycle volume on the network every month. Although this approach is workable, it shows methodological and operational limitations that influence the accuracy and reliability of the estimates.
