Alva companies have approximately 5250 district heating and cooling meters in their district heating network, with their remote reading most of the 2G/3G modems that are connected to the thermal e nergy meter with a wired M-Bus connection. Alva companies will change most of their metrics as a result of the 2G start-up during the next few years. About 300 of the thermal energy meters operate on the NB-IoT network without a separate modem. The gauges are mainly divided into three different manufacturers.
