Description - Description: The FAA has a requirement for acquisition of brush blocks for sustainment of rotary joints in the Airport Surveillance Radar Model 9 (ASR-9) field radar sites. The rotary joint comprises six rf paths and 20 slip ring connections that ele ctrically interface the rotating antenna with the stationary pedestal. Two position sensors in the rotary joint provide azimuth data to the system. The rotary joint is crucial to the operation of the ASR-9. The brush blocks to be procured are: NSN 5999-01-423-0729-N Moog Inc. part number LQ4014-2 and D1619-100P2.
