Description - Description: Hyper-Kamiokande (HK) is the construction project of an international neutrinos telescope, evolution of Kamiokande and Super-Kamiokande detectors. The HK detector will be built at 620 m underground, in order to observe neutrinos, disinte gration of protons and other physical phenomena. The experiment will be carried out in a huge cylindrical water tank, of ~ 70m in diameter and ~ 70 m deep, full with a megatoneted "extremely transparent ultra-a water", on whose walls tens of thousands of photosensors will be installed (Photo-Multiplier Tubes, ‘pmts’ from now on) sensitive to the light known as Luz Cherenkov produced particles, such as neutrino, to interact with water.
