Description - Description: The James Madison Memorial Building, part of the Library of Congress complex is the national monument to the fourth U.S. president, James Madison. The building opened in 1980, and on the third floor, houses the Mary Pickford Theater. The Moving Image Research Center hosts film screenings at of classic and contemporary movies and television shows. Some components of the current system are inoperable or in need of replacement. In its current capacity, the Pickford Theater also supports lectures, and hybrid meetings in addition to the film screenings. This audiovisual upgrade project will modernize the visual, audio, and infrastructure elements in the theater and its control booth.
