Description - Description: The Green Mountain National Forest (GMNF) has potable drinking water wells required to comply with both the Safe Drinking Water Act (Federal direction enforced by Vermont DEC) and Forest Service Directives. They are a mix of Public and P rivate Drinking Water systems and to comply, there are various water quality tests required.
