Description - Description: BACKGROUND: The QRJ ARSR (Air Route Surveillance Radar) located in Jedburg, South Carolina was commissioned in 1971. The QRJ ARSR is a mission critical facility supporting air traffic control operations. Currently, predatory birds are pe rching, causing damage, and impacting communication operations (see attached photos). To maintain critical operations and support to air traffic control, a cleaning and installation of bird mitigation measures is required.
