Description - Description: The Corporation requires contingency disposal services for residuals produced in the Metro Vancouver region. Metro Vancouver Residuals (Residuals) are the organic material that is recovered from the Corporation’s wastewater treatment p lants (WWTP Residuals), a mixture of WWTP residuals and sand (Sand-Residuals Mix), and silt and sediments recovered from the drinking Water treatment plant residuals (DWTR). The Corporation is mandated to beneficially use Residuals whenever possible, however they require disposal when they do not meet quality limits for beneficial use or when they are otherwise unable to be used beneficially.
