The economy of Taiwan is a highly developed free-market economy. It is the 8th largest in Asia and 18th-largest in the world by purchasing power parity, allowing Taiwan to be included in the advanced economies group by the International Monetary Fund. It is gauged in the high-income economies group by the World Bank. The four largest golf OEM are all Taiwanese however these firms are increasingly selling products under their own brands. Taiwan is the most technologically advanced computer microchip maker in the world. Taiwan's information technology industry has played an important role in the worldwide IT market over the last 20 years. The structure of the industry in Taiwan includes a handful of companies at the top along with many small and medium-sized enterprises which account for 85% of industrial output. Agriculture has served as a strong foundation for Taiwan's economic miracle. It contributes 3% to GDP and the service sector makes up 73% of the economy.
