The Roubaix cemetery has numerous funerary monuments of great architectural quality dating back around a century. To restore and protect these monuments, the city has implemented a vast rehabilitation program for several years, paths and signage. Faced with the cost of restoration and the removal of descendants, some are abandoned and fall back into the public domain. Thus, 62 chapels were recovered by the city out of a total of 315 listed.
