Description - Description: The Department of Medical Microbiology (MMB) of the UMC Utrecht intends to replace two of its BACTEC FX blood culture systems with again two BACTEC FX blood culture systems. In the long term, the MMB department intends to be replaced by the BACTEC FX blood culture systems with BD Bactec FXI blood culture systems, which use the same validated blood culture bottles, but have a greater capacity per system and a robotized sample inname and thus increased efficiency. Finally, the MMB Department intends to involve an extension of current lease contracts or replacement of the BD Phoenix M50 instruments (for automated sensitivity determination) in the negotiations on a future acquisitio
