Description - Following a Layers of Protection Analysis (LOPA), The Pirbright Institute requires the design of a safety system that detects flooding of the drainage system in the building. The system subsequently responds by shutting down the building water supply system. As per Functional Safety standards IEC 61508 and IEC 61511, Pirbright requires this system to be reliable to Safety Integrity Level (SIL) 1.
