Roskilde Camping has a history that extends all the way back to 1938, when Roskilde Municipality bought a larger area in Veddelev, which was later laid out for Strandpark. The campsite is part of this area and is covered by Local Plan 548, which also includes Vigen Strandpark and Restaurant Vigen.
