Description - Description: Established following COP26 Presidency’s Climate and Development Ministerial in March 2021, the Taskforce on Access to Climate Finance (‘the Taskforce’) is a response to calls from climate vulnerable countries that access to climat e finance is slow, complex and not of sufficient scale.Mauritius is one of seven Pioneer Countries which aims to address these inadequacies though a national-level structured programme of interventions. Since 2023, the Government of Mauritius and the UK, as anchor donor of the trial, work in partnership to mobilise finance, strengthen climate policy, drive capacity building and manage inclusive platforms to coordinate climate finance activities.F
