VAT) available for applicants to conduct a survey of PAHs and other potentially genotoxic compounds in smoked foods/ingredients and smoked alternatives. This will involve te sting for the PAHs regulated under Assimilated Commission Regulation (EC) No 1881/2006 and those laid out in Assimilated Commission Regulation (EC) No 627/2006, plus additional chemicals identified as concern or potential concern for genotoxicity by the AEJEG and EFSA (at least 20 compounds dependent on available methods).
