Description - Description: The EU pledge for three billion additional trees in the EU was announced in 2020 (EU Biodiversity Strategy). The implementation of the pledge depends greatly on initiatives at national and subnational level. A roadmap for its implementat ion with milestones was published in 2021 (EU Forest Strategy).
