Description - Description: The demand for container handling and transport is growing steadily, while the existing Kamalapur Inland Container Depot (ICD) lacks the capacity to meet this demand. Due to space limitations, further expansion of the Kamalapur ICD is no t feasible. As part of the government’s plan to establish a multi-modal hub at Kamalapur, the ICD must be relocated. To address this, the Government of Bangladesh has initiated the construction of a new ICD near Dhirasram Railway Station, located on the outskirts of Dhaka City. In this connection, the “Construction of Pubail–Dhirasram Rail Link Including Land Acquisition for the Dhirasram ICD” project was approved by ECNEC on 25 September
