Description - The Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT) is seeking the services of a contractor to review over 700 emergency operations plans filed by Texas electric utilities, power generation companies, municipally owned utilities, electric cooperatives, and retail electric providers (collectively Texas electric entities); analyze and advise the Commission on the ability of the electric grid to withstand extreme weather in the power regions outside of the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT); and make recommendations on improving emergency operations plans and procedures for all Texas electric entities to ensure the continuity of electric service.
