Description - Description The QN/Conesa-Boj Labs research focuses on investigating how structural changes to nanostructures alter their electronic and optical properties at atomic resolution. The research focuses in particular on recently discovered quantum materi als, such as layered materials and topological insulators, but also on semiconductor nanowires. To achieve active control over their electronic and optical response, with these materials it is essential to perform structural and spectral characterization with excellent spectral resolution (< 40 meV) combined with very high spatial resolution by scanning transmission electron microscopy (VOICE).
