Description - Description: The national accompanying body according to § 8 Standag is said to consist of 18 members. 12 members are elected by the Federal Council and the Bundestag. Another six citizens, including two representatives of the young generation, are to be nominated by a suitable procedure and then appointed by the BMUKN.The selection process developed for nomination was first carried out in 2016 and then further developed in 2022. On the basis of this selection process, three members of the NBG were appointed in 2016, 2018, 2019 and 2022 by the Federal Environment Minister.
