A.BACKGROUND OF THE ASSIGNMENT: Save the Children through one of its initiatives at Delhi and Gurugram, aims to improve the availability and access to quality health, nutrition, and early child education for migrant labourers and their families in urban resource-poor communities through community promotion & participation activities and systemstrengthening approach. B. Objectives The primary objectives of the Ophthalmic Ailments Screening and Spectacle Distribution project are: To conduct comprehensive eye screenings for men, women, and children in urban slums. To provide 1000 quality spectacles to individuals in need for refractive error and appropriate medicines wherever applicable. C. Scope of Work: The selected service provider will be responsible for: Organizing and conducting eye screening camps at 5 locations. Conducting vision tests, eye examinations, and assessments for ophthalmic ailments. Providing prescription eyeglasses to individuals with visual impairments. Ensuring the quality and fitting of distributed spectacles. Conduct educational sessions on eye health and hygiene. D. Deliverables: The service provider is expected to deliver: Comprehensive eye screenings of individuals including conducting vision tests, eye examinations, and assessments for ophthalmic ailments. Accurate diagnoses of visual impairments and ophthalmic ailments. Distribution of 1000 quality eyeglasses for refractive error cases and appropriate medicines wherever applicable. Ensuring the quality and fitting of distributed spectacles. A detailed report of the activity highlighting the number of individuals screened, results, activity photographs and any follow-up recommendations. E. Terms and Conditions: All the data related to the beneficiaries shall be submitted to BRB and the agency will ensure the full confidentiality of data of individuals screened at their end. The agency must deploy qualified medical personnel i.e. Ophthalmologist / Optometrist with expertise in ophthalmic ailments screening. F. Payment Terms Payment will be made online through NEFT/RTGS. 40 % payment on signing the contract; 30 % payment on completion of providing 500 spectacles; 30 % payment on completion of providing 1000 spectacles with proper reporting, and documentation across 5 locations. Bank details including Bank Name, Account Number, Account Holders Name, Type of Bank Account, IFSC Code, Branch Address, Valid GST, Pan Card will be shared by the agency. G. Duration of Assignment from the assignment: The duration of the assignment will be for 6th November 2023 and ending on 31st March 2024. H. The Application comprising of proposal cum quotation should be on Agency’s / organization’s letterhead (signed and scanned pdf version) and shared via email. The Application comprising of two separate document technical and financial proposal should be addressed to Saurav Aman (saurav.aman@balrakshabharat.org) and put in CC to Arif Suhail (aarif.hammal@balrakshabharat.org via e-mail by 31st October 2023. The subject line of the e-mail should read: “Ophthalmic Ailments Screening and Providing Spectacles – Project Ek Pehal Delhi & Gurugram”
