REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL FOR SUPPORTING C3 DESIGN THINKING SYSTEM CHANGE PROJECT. Introduction of Centre for Catalyzing Change (C3), is a non-governmental organization that is committed to work on improving the lives of women and girls in India. Having its operation in India for the last 35 years, C3 has emerged as a key change-making organization focused on improving the condition of girls and women in the country. C3’s proven approach to development gives women, young girls and boys equip them skills they need to improve their lives, as well as that of their families and communities. Our programs focus on designing solutions that mobilize, equip, educate and empower women and girls to meet their full potential. About the intervention: C3 is designing a system change approach to increase school completion for adolescent girls. C3 is looking for an agency to engage with during the design phase to support C3 to further refine its system change vision, analysis, strategy, outcomes and learning/measurement approaches. This would include listing critical questions to be answered, and essential tasks to accomplish, that are particularly important for the refinement and advancement of the systems change initiative.This agency is also expected to undertake a political economy analysis, recommend partnerships, assess key organizational capacities to deliver on the outcomes of the system change initiative. Scope of Work: The agency is expected to undertake the following: Undertake a political economy analysis on the issues with specific focus on 2/3 states. Work with C3 to identify/specify the challenges to be addressed through the design thinking approach. Undertake a detailed analysis of the current system, recommend potential pathways to system change, which aligns with C3’s capacities. Through interviews, workshops, secondary data analysis, apply design thinking lens to the proposed strategy for system change, addressing people and system level outcomes. Identify system levers, develop a roadmap for implementation and establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of system change efforts. Conduct an organizational fitness (fit for purpose) exercise Deliver a final plan to C3. Duration and Administration of the Consultancy: The consultancy is expected to be completed within a period of 8 months (February 2024September 2024) from the time of signing of the contract by both parties. The duration includes completion of items outlined as part of ‘Scope of Work’. Payment Schedule The contract will be deliverable-based and payment will be made after submission of the deliverables as specified in the terms of reference or the contract agreement. The full contract amount shall be paid upon completion and submission and acceptance of final documents comprising the key achievements, lessons learnt, success stories and recommendations for future interventions Payments are subject to tax deductions as applicable Qualification and Experience for the consultancy: Adequate and proven experience of delivering design thinking projects with system change outcomes addressing complex problems, preferably in a non-profit or social impact context.
