Description - Description: Lewes District Council are responsible for the management and maintenance of the cliff foot sea defences at Peacehaven, East Sussex. The sea defences are approximately 2.7km long and are accessible by two ramps cut into the cliffs. The r amps are constructed for vehicular access and there is a promenade/splash deck running the length of the defences.The defences were constructed in phases from 1970s to the 1990s. Attached are plans that illustrate defences. The sea wall is faced with sacrificial blocks that are faced with large flints within a cement/granite dust complex.The Council is seeking to undertake future repairs where appropriate using these blocks the dimensions of the
