Description - Description Because parts of the installation have reached the end of their lifespan, the Water Board has decided to renovate the Sludge Line of the water treatment plant (Plot 1) and build new water line (Plot 2). Expansion and renovation of the Slu dge Line (Lot 1): HHR has decided to centrally ferment the sewage sludge from most wastewater treatment plants in Rijnland at the WWTP HWP in the future. To make this possible, the sludge digestion, part of the WWTP HWP, is being renovated and expanded in accordance with Ephyra® technology. Ephyra is an innovative and proven sludge digestion technology patented by Royal HaskoningDHV that works according to the plug flow or multi-stage principle.
