Description - Description: EMSA is currently providing technical assistance to ENP and Enlargement partner countries in the area of maritime safety, maritime security, marine pollution/prevention, preparedness and response. This includes enhancing the traffic moni toring capabilities of the beneficiary countries, promoting Automatic Identification Systems (AIS) information sharing at regional level and implementation of Vessel Traffic Monitoring and Information Systems (VTMIS) as tools to improve the safety of navigation and consequently environmental protection.
