Description - Provision of nutrient neutrality mitigation site pre-feasibility assessments. In March 2022, it was announced that five catchments in Cumbria would be subject to new nutrient neutrality measures; all are currently in an unfavourable condition due to nutrient enrichment. Certain developments within the catchments, particularly housing, are being caught up and delayed by the requirement for nutrient neutrality. Given this, a partnership, led by the Lake District National Park Authority (LDNPA), has been created to identify mitigation measures within the catchments to help unlock development in those areas.
