Description - Description: The Idbäcksverket in Nyköping produces electricity and district heating. The base load is met by Panna 3, a bubbling fluidized bed boiler that burns biofuels, with recycled wood chips as a base. The boiler produces steam with data up t o 540°C/140 bar. The flue gases that arise are purified through fabric filters with slaked lime and activated carbon. The flue gases are then condensed in a direct-exchange tube condenser.
