Description - Description: The Rhein-Sieg district, together with the neighboring public transport authorities of the city of Cologne and the federal city of Bonn as well as the district cities of Niederkassel and Troisdorf, is planning to implement the Bonn-Niede rkassel-Cologne light rail line (line 17) including closing the gap in line 7. The project includes the New construction of approx. 22 km of light rail line. For the implementation and financing of the planning, the three public transport authorities concluded a public law agreement in 2023, which also involves the affected district cities of Niederkassel and Troisdorff as well as the municipal transport companies KVB, RSVG and SWBV/SSB.
