Description - Description: The North Rhine-Westphalia State Road Construction Authority intends to build a new road maintenance department in Aachen. The existing road maintenance department has reached the limit of its technical lifespan and operational usability in terms of its structure, the size of workshops, vehicle and equipment halls, as well as the central areas of building technology. Renovating the existing building is uneconomical because it does not solve the central problems. A replacement building for the entire road maintenance department is therefore planned on the same property. The majority of the existing buildings will be demolished in several construction phases and rebuilt elsewhere
