Description - Description The Australia Kiribati Climate Security Initiative (AKCSI) is a project initiated by the Government of Australia, represented by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), and the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS ) to address the need for enhancing coastal resilience in Kiribati. The objective of AKCSI is to implement high-quality, GEDSI-sensitive, inclusive and resilient coastal protection solutions, and to improve the resilience of Kiribati to the impacts of climate change.
