Description - According to the EU Marine Strategy Directive, member countries must monitor waste along the coast so that the composition, amount and spatial distribution along the coast can be assessed. The purpose of the project is to provide monitoring of waste on Danish beaches under the auspices of the marine strategy. This included collection and classification of data, data entry, data quality assurance and reporting to relevant EU and regional databases. Data must be included in Danish and international time series for waste along beaches.
