Description - Description: This is a Sole Source Synopsis. The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to utilize other than full and open competition to award a contract (consisting of a base year and up to four option periods) to General Dynamics Mission Syst ems (GDMS) for the follow-on development and production of MK 48 MOD 8 Heavyweight (HWT) Guidance and Control (G&C) Sections, and engineering and technical support. GDMS is the current and only responsible source as the design agent, manufacturer, assembler, and test agent for continued development of MK 48 MOD 8 HWT G&Cs capable of meeting the Government's requirements.
