Description - Description: Synopsis of the Proposed Dredging - Maintenance Dredging of Bronx River, New York, Federal Navigation Project The New York District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) proposes to perform maintenance dredging of portions of the B ronx River, New York, Federal Navigation Project. The dredged material would be subsequently transported and placed at the Historic Area Remediation Site (HARS), approximately 4 miles east of Sandy Hook, New Jersey. The proposed maintenance dredging would remove approximately 200,000 cubic yards (CY) of material from the Bronx River channel. Dredging in this channel would be required to a depth of -10 feet Mean Lower Low Water (MLLW) plus 1 foot
