Description - Description: Trollhätte canal is the general waterway between Vänersborg and Gothenburg. The level difference between Vänern and the sea of about 44 m is managed today by a total of six locks, one in Väners-borg, four in Trollhättan and on e in Lilla Edet. The locks have now reached the end of their technical lifespan and therefore need to be replaced.
