Description - Description: The water supply to Öregrund's community is based on a groundwater extraction in Börstilåsen near Ågalma, a raw water source approx. 8km from the waterworks in Öregrund. Periodically, there have been deteriorations in the groundwate r quality from the roof. Deteriorations in groundwater quality have been assumed to be linked to increased withdrawals during the tourist season. The water supply needs to be strengthened in both the short and long term in the area. Today there is only one raw water well which, according to assessment, has had a reduced capacity over time.
