Description - Description: The state of Rhineland-Palatinate (RLP) has a large number of grassland biotope types that are important in terms of nature conservation.Grassland biotope types are among the most species-rich biotope types in Central Europe and are ther efore of great importance for the preservation of biological diversity and thus also for achieving national goals such as the Rhineland-Palatinate biodiversity strategy.Therefore, many of the biotopes are legally protected according to Section 30 of the Federal Nature Conservation Act (BNatSchG) (= Section 30 biotope types).
