Description - DescriptionThe World Bank East Africa Transport wishes to hire a firm with extensive capability and experience with geotechnical surveys in railway lines. The main objective of this assignment is to carry out a geotechnical survey characterization to understand the geotechnical load capacity of the railway bed to prevent future geotechnical issues such as subsidence and map the geotechnical load capacity of the current railway bed for planning its expansion and renewal. The findings of this assessment will inform the planned feasibility study for Commuter rail for the Nairobi Metropolitan Area, which will be implemented by Kenya Railways and financed under the Kenya Urban Mobility Improvemen
