The terrain types to be managed are very diverse: they mainly consist of dry to wet heathland in combination with forests, but are also interwoven with inland dunes, stream valleys, species-rich grasslands, fields, quaking bogs, (peat) marshes, reedlands, fens, etc. The areas to be managed can be rough and uneven, with vegetation that is very rough in places.
