Description - Description: Statnett owns and operates the transmission network in Norway, and as system manager they are responsible for ensuring that there is always a balance between consumption and production in the power system. The Energy Regulatory Authority (RME) regulates Statnett's revenues. From 2021, RME introduced changes in the regulation to strengthen Statnett's incentives for cost efficiency. The changes mainly applied to Statnett's tasks as network owner, not as system operator.
