Description - Description: The DLR site in Jülich is home to the Institute for Solar Research, which operates large-scale solar energy generation systems. In addition to a heliostat field with over 2,000 mirrors, this includes two solar towers that contain energy conversion systems. In order to meet the further development of the technologies used and the need for additional demonstration systems, one of the two towers, the multi-focus tower (MFT), is to be increased by another level.
