Description - Description: The purpose of the evaluation is to gain knowledge of the extent to which the security scheme contributes to achieving the national goal of preserving and facilitating important outdoor recreation areas. Through the safeguarding scheme, the state contributes financially when municipalities and outdoor councils want to acquire the right to dispose of areas (through purchase or long-term use agreements) for outdoor recreation purposes, and in that way will look after the areas, make them available and prepare them for public use. The insurance scheme has existed for a long time and has its own item in the state budget. The result is that today there are approx. 2,300 state-secured
