Description - Description: The city of Oberhausen and Stoag Stadtwerke Oberhausen GmbH intend to establish a tram connection between Essen and Oberhausen. For this purpose, tram line 105 is to be extended, which is currently running from Essen-Rellinghausen throug h downtown Essen to the Essen-Unterstrasse end stop near Oberhausen.As early as the 1990s, there were initial considerations to restore the former tram connection between Essen and Oberhausen. Specific planning began in 1995, and in 1998 the project was included in the local transport plan. In order to implement the project, Stoag in 2001 wrote to planning services by means of a Europe-wide negotiation procedure with a announcement dated August 8
