Description - Light Rail Development [Bybanen Utbygging] is in the process of preparing for the procurement of a signalling system for the Light Rail construction stage 5 from Bergen city centre to Åsane. The procurement is scheduled to be announced at the end of this year, and the contract will be signed with the selected contractor in late summer 2024. The line is planned to be realised in two construction stages. The first stage is approx. 2.5 km of double track from the city centre to Amalie Skrams Vei (Sandviken) with possible opening in 2028.
