Description - The U.S. Department of Transportation, John A. Volpe National Transportation Systems Center (Volpe Center), Cambridge, MA has a requirement for one (1) diesel-engine railway car spotter vehicle with an option for extended field support and training.   This solicitation is being conducted in accordance with (IAW) Federal Acquisition Regulations Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and pursuant to FAR Part 13.5 Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Products and Commercial Services.  This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. This acquisition is being conducted using full and open competition and the Government intends to award a single firm fixed price purchase order.  Â
