In addition to a DC switching system and converter system, a substation is also built. Tennet plans to build the facilities on an area of approx. 53 hectares southwest of Heide in the municipalities of Lieth and Wöhrden. The area joins the existing substation Heide/West to the west. Also on this area, the construction of another converter is planned as part of the Korridor B-DC25 project by the transmission system operator Amprion.
