Description - Description: The Copenhagen metro (Metroselskabet) has commenced its largest reinvestment project to date; to replace the signalling and rolling stock used on the M1 and M2 lines. After 20 years in operation, we are setting out to procure approximate ly 40 new trains as well as a state-of-the-art GoA4 CBTC signalling system, which needs to be achieved by 2035. Implementation of both signalling and rolling stock is notoriously complex, and there are no similar projects in a metro system with 24/7 operation.
