Description - The aim of the project is to create continuous double track on the Berlin – Cottbus route for speeds of 160 km/h for passenger rail transport and 120 km/h for rail freight transport. This will create a sustainable and sufficiently dimensioned infra structure. The availability problems on the Lübbenau – Cottbus section will be eliminated. The Lübbenau – Cottbus section is part of the Berlin – Görlitz route, route number 6142, in the range from approx. km 85.8 to 112.5. In Lübbenau, route 6193 branches off in the direction of Calau - Senftenberg. The following routes also flow into Cottbus: • Route 6345, Halle – Cottbus – Guben • Route 6205, Cottbus – Forst • Route 6253,
