Description - Description Latvaenergia Oy is building a biogas plant in Pyhännäs circular economy park, where biogas is produced by digesting various biomasses. The biogas plant investment is part of the Resursviisas wastewater treatment project partially financ ed by the Ministry of the Environment. The facilitys processing capacity is max. 20,000 t/a of different inputs. The inputs consist of by-products and waste from the food industry, agricultural sludge and field biomass. The biogas produced by the facility under construction will be used for the energy needs of the nearby industrial area.
